You do not need to speak Romanian to take driving lessons with us. Our English-speaking instructor will guide you through all practical sessions in English.
The theory exam at DRPCIV is currently only available in Romanian, but we provide comprehensive English-language study materials to help you prepare effectively.

You need a medical certificate (fișă medicală) and a psychological assessment (aviz psihologic) from DRPCIV-authorized centers. We guide you on where to go.
You study Romanian traffic law using our online platform. The DRPCIV theory exam has 26 multiple-choice questions from an official bank of ~1,000 questions. We provide you with all the questions in English so you can study effectively.
30 hours of driving in Bucharest traffic with your English-speaking instructor. You will practice urban driving, parking, roundabouts, and all maneuvers required for the practical exam.
The theory exam is taken at a DRPCIV center on a computer (currently only in Romanian). The practical road test is conducted by a DRPCIV examiner in your instructor's car. We accompany you and make sure you are fully prepared.
EU/EEA citizens: If you have an EU driving license, you can exchange it for a Romanian license at DRPCIV without retaking the full exam. This is not a driving school process — contact DRPCIV directly.
Non-EU citizens with Romanian residence: If you have been a legal resident in Romania for at least 6 months, you can enroll at a Romanian driving school and take the full Category B exam.

The DRPCIV theory exam (computer-based) is available in Romanian only. However, we provide you with all study materials in English and help you prepare using our online platform.
The Premium BMW package with English instruction costs 5,499 RON. This includes 30 hours of practical driving on a BMW, all theory course materials, and full support through the DRPCIV exam process.
EU/EEA license holders can exchange their license for a Romanian one without retaking the full exam — this is handled by DRPCIV directly. Non-EU license holders must complete the full driving school process. Contact us to clarify your specific situation.
